Saturday 22nd November proved to
be a highly successful day of both intensive and extensive learning and
presentation in what was the Clubs first ever attempt at condensing the
traditional 6 Sessions (13 weeks) into an all day Seminar of interactive
workshops.
With 8 participants and 10 highly experienced presenters
covering the Toastmaster syllabus of:
- · Selecting a Topic
- · Organising a Speech
- · Introducing a Speaker
- · Impromptu Speaking
- · The Art of Evalaution
- · Visual Aids
- · Body Language and Gestures
- · Voice
- · Toastmasters the Organisation
- · And a Summary and Q&A
Even despite some tricky logistics and
competition with a musical performance of the Addams Family Musical downstairs
at concord RSL we managed a very powerful day.
