CONCORD WEST CLUB HONOURED FOR TWO 20 YEAR SERVICE MEMBERS

As mentioned in the previous Post, Concord West Toastmaster and current Vice President Education Heather Gordon was also honoured at last weekends District 70 Annual Conference. As Heather was unable to attend the Presentation Luncheon on the Saturday she had the added bonus of having her 20 Year Service Award presented to her by the International President of Toastmasters Mr George Yen, DTM at a special segment on the Sunday. 
Congratulations to both Heather and Daniel.

20 YEAR SERVICE AWARDS AT DISTRICT 70 CONFERENCE

On Saturday 17th May at the District 70 Annual Conference Awards Luncheon Daniel Tucker, one of two Members of Concord West Toastmasters was honoured with a 20 Year Service Award.
The second recipient VPE Heather was unable to attend on the saturday but was to be presented with her Award on the Sunday.
A number of members of Concord West Club already attending the Conference were joined for the lunch by others in support of this distinguished service award.
At the same Awards Presentation both 30 and 40 year Awards were also presented.

Also at the Conference both Daniel and Peter were formally ratified as District Governors Elect. Daniel as District Governor of Hawkesbury Division and Peter as District Governor of our own Phillip Division.

ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICE



Concord West Toastmasters Club was well represented at the ANZAC Dawn Service again this year with Club Members; Mark, John, Philip, Anna, Paul, Peter and Glen braving what turned out to be – a not so cold – early morning Dawn Service in the car park.
Later gathering with hundreds of other locals in the Club for a basic breakfast together.
Club President Mark laid a wreath on behalf of the Club which has enjoyed the facility of the Club for our meetings for many years.

NEW MEMBER STEPS UP

relatively new Member of Concord West Toastmasters, Derek Lak took on the challenge of being a Test Speaker at the Area 34 Evaluation Contest. Area Governor Lyndal Tucker (also a member of Concord West Club) reported that Derek did himself and our Club very proud.
