CONCORD WEST TOASTMASTERS CLUB – 14th JULY 2015 – MEETING No: 1200

It seems quite appropriate that Concord West Toastmasters kicks off its new Toastmaster year with a milestone meeting Number 1200. A very special point to ponder the many Club Members who have gone before and in their individual way – have contributed to the sort of energised and exciting meeting we had on this 1200th occasion.

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS
Both the Area 6 Director (2015-16) Katherine and the District 70 Club Growth Director (2015-16) Peter were present (as members) of Concord West Club tonight.
However as outgoing Phillip Division Governor (2014-15) Peter Crosby requested permission of the meeting to make 2 belated Awards on Club Members.
Firstly to outgoing District 70 Treasurer Anna Perdriau for her service to District 70 Treasurer, in particular for this last 12 months in the preparations required to create the brand new District 90 from the northern half of the old District 70.

And a Merit Award as Recognition of Distinguished Service to outgoing Area 6 Governor John Hughson.
These awards were announced at the recent District 70 Changeover Dinner but the recipients were unable to attend so it was particularly appropriate to receive them from our very own Immediate Past Phillip Division Governor in his final duty.

Anna Perdriau receiving an Trophy of Appreciation for her role of District Treasurer 2014-15
from outgoing Phillip Division Governor Peter Crosby

John Hughson receiving a trophy for a Merit Award for Distinguished Service

THE BLOG IS BACK

After a one year ‘sabbatical’ the Editor of the Concord West Blog is back, with a commitment to keep a record of our Club Meetings so all members can refer to and keep track of their Communication and Leadership achievements.
The format will remain similar to where we left off exactly 12 months ago monitoring members tasks and achievements in our regular meetings as well as noting any other outstanding achievements or watersheds in the life of the Concord West Club.

As we recommence this new Toastmaster year there are continuing surprises in the level of interest and origin of viewing of our Blog. Having passed the 13,000 views in just a few short years and with readership as diverse as from the Czech Republic, Germany and Alaska our Club news has indeed become as international as Toastmasters itself.

A break down of the numbers and traffic that we can monitor on our Blog.

The diversity of countries from where Concord West’s Blog is being followed.
