2018 DISTRICT 70 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

This was a special occasion for Concord West Club with long standing Member Peter Crosby completing his fabulous year as District 70 Director at this Annual Conference.
As well as some amazing guest speakers the Conference was a huge success with a number of Concord West Club Members and family involved.

Peter as the overall host for the event as the outgoing District Director chaired his final DEC Meeting (District Executive Council) on the Saturday morning and delivered his District Directors Speech at the Gala Dinner on the Saturday night among many other Presentations to Contest Winners and numerous presentations at the Awards Lunch on the Saturday.

Our very own S@A Alex Lee was one of the 2 Timers for the DEC Meeting on the Saturday morning.

Daniel and Lyndal Tucker worked tirelessly over the entire weekend on the District Sound Team ensuring all speakers could be heard with the minimum of fuss.

John Hughson prepared the Conference Pins and Program Booklet and the inaugural 10 and 15 Year Service Badges that were handed out at the Awards Lunch.
John also provided the Voice Over Introduction to the Opening Banner Parade at the Saturday Morning DEC Meeting.
At the Awards Lunch John was also formally presented with his Distinguished Toastmaster Plaque and Lapel Pin as well as a Triple Crown Pin for completing 3 DCP Awards in one Toastmaster year to June 30 and a 10 Year Service Pin.

To round off the Saturday, John and Keiko Hughson were joined by Harini and Sudarshan Sundaramurthy along with a number of members from Concord Yaralla Toastmasters at the Gala Dinner and International Speech Contest where John also assisted as a Counter.

  1. Thanks for a great blog John Hughson.
I'm very proud of the contribution Concord West Toastmasters Club and its members have made to my life and to Toastmasters in Sydney at this conference and elsewhere. Peter C.
