DISTRICT 70 TOASTMASTERS SHOPPER AD CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

IT WAS HOPED OTHER MEMBERS WOULD DO THE SAME ACROSS THE DISTRICT

A Member of our Club John Hughson is the current District 70 Public Relations Manager responsible for overseeing the Promotion of major District events and as part of the PR Teams Brief, a major advertising or promotion is planned each year.

This year John started planning a Campaign that would, with limited funds, reach a wider number of our District areas from south of the Parramatta River to the Victorian Border and including the ACT.

The Campaign sourced REAL Members with REAL stories of what Toastmasters has helped them achieve. The ‘Shopper’ Campaign which commenced on the 14^th February and ran through to 3^rd April 2022, runs over 7 weeks with 22 display sites across 8 locations throughout District 70, displaying 8 Toastmasters and their stories in rotation for 7 seconds per view.  We have already had very positive feedback from ACT Clubs but as with any non-retail advertising, results will trickle in over coming weeks.

As there was a shortage of Sydney-based male participants Members of the PR Team cajoled John into stepping up at the last minute and participating.
