CONDOLENCES TO CLUB MEMBER ANNA

The Club wishes to express our sincere condolences to Anna Perdriau on the recent death of her father on 3rd December 2016. Anna and Philip were late apologies at or End-of-Year Dinner held that same day. Anna was already in Canberra with her father and family and Philip contacted us to advise that he was heading down that afternoon.

Anna’s father’s funeral was held on Friday 9th December in Belconnen in the ACT.

Thank you to Peter Crosby for arranging a condolence card which was signed by all Club Members present at the End-of-Year Dinner.

On behalf of the entire Membership of Concord West Toastmasters we wish to ensure Anna of our love and support at this difficult time.

2016 END OF YEAR CLUB SOCIAL GATHERING & DINNER

We met at the Pron Prohm Thai Restaurant in the private upstair area for our end-of-year dinner.

Many thanks to those who attended and made it a very pleasant evening of fine food and great conversation.

During the evening President John bestowed upon members both present and absent some awards as a way of recognising firstly; Members who have made contributions throughout the year toward our Club’s success both in terms of our Distinguished Club Program as well as representing us in Competition:

Glen Hobbs – Most Challenging Table Topics Master 2016 (We were asked to answer a written question about what we either hated or loved to do. Glen then called people up to explain another persons statement and take on their persona. Once the Session was complete Glen then revealed who had written what).
Bernard Lo – Halloween Costume ‘Best Dressed’ Award 2016 (Also recipient of the Perpetual Halloween Skull Award)

Each Award was acknowledged with a Certificate and a mini ‘Sparkling’ Trophy
