Concord
West VPE Heather Gordon took out First Place in the Table Topics Contest at the
Phillip Division Humorous and Table Topics Contest at Cabra-Vale Diggers Club.
Heather now goes on to represent Concord West, Area 6 and Phillip Division at
the District 70 Semi-Annual Conference in November. This is our first Club
Member to break through to this level in Table Topics and Heather delivered a
fabulously structured, relevant and engaging response to the question; “If I
had more time”.
It should also be noted that Concord
West Club member and Phillip Division Governor Peter Crosby planned and ran a
First Class Contest that in good Toastmaster practice finished bang on time.
Concord West was also represented by Area 6 Governor John Hughson who was the
Toastmaster for the Table Topics Contest.
