A small gathering of Members primarily from the outgoing Area Director Gowri's Burwood Club met at their home Club venue of Burwood RSL. Concord West Club was represented by VPE (Elect) Lana to acknowledge the transition from Gowri (Area Director 2022-2023) to Kevin from Ashfield Club. Outgoing Lachlan Division Director, Graham was also in attendance.

CONCORD WEST TOASTMASTERS

RECOGNISED FOR THEIR ROLES

AS AREA DIRECTORS 2022-2023

At the final District Executive Council Meeting for the 2022-2023 Year, 2 Members of Concord West Toastmasters who had served as Area Directors (in other areas, representing other Clubs) were acknowledged for their tireless efforts and contributions during what was a very challenging year.

Harini served as Area 42 Director in Ocean Division and Kelly served as Area 10 Director in Waratah Division.

Kelly was acknowledged on the District Club Growth Directors Honour Roll for achieving 100% Area director Visits and reports Completed while Harini achieved 80% plus Club Visits and Reports submitted.

Area Directors are required to Visit the Clubs in their area twice a year and submit Reports on the Clubs progress to the District Executive during their tenure. These visits are often at the behest of Clubs which can make achieving such high percentages very challenging.

Well done to our 2 Area Directors.

A great night was had by a small group of Concord West Members; Lana, Sonya, Melody, Mario, Glenn and John who were joined by 2 guests from Mount Pritchard Toastmasters; Duyam and Seakay.

The King Pin Champions for the evening were Glenn and Duyam on matching top score of 96.

We look forward to our next 5th Tuesday Social Event in August.
