IN MEMORY OF PETER MACE – BURWOOD CLUB IN AREA 6

It was such a bombshell when Peter Crosby informed our Concord West Club meeting on Tuesday evening 11th January of Peter Mace's tragic accident the previous weekend. 

Peter was a much loved and greatly admired member of our little Area 6 family. Peter served us as Area Director with grace and servitude and will be remembered as highly respected adversary across all 4 Contests genres. It was always a pleasure to share a stage with him. 

His wonderfully dry wit and generous humour will be sadly missed as we approach another Contest Session. From those of us at Concord West Club who knew him for so many years, we extend our deepest sympathy to his family and our fellow Burwood Club Members.

At the end of the Meeting Peter Crosby informed those present that former Area 6 Director and long standing Member of Burwood Toastmasters, Peter Mace DTM had been fatally injured in a rare accident at home on the previous weekend. Peter paid tribute to his friend and 

fellow highly accomplished Toastmaster in an emotional tribute.

Region 12 Toastmasters covers Papua New Guinea · Fiji · Australia · Malaysia · Brunei · New Zealand · Indonesia. One of the many fun parts of this large Zoom Meeting was a Representative of each District was asked to participate in a series of 'Tall Tales' which everyone else had to vote on whether it was true or a Tall tale. District 70 was represented by Concord West Toastmaster and District PR Manager John Hughson who fooled over 75% of the audience with his true story of falling (outside) a helicopter.
