NEW MEMBERS IN INTERESTING TIMES

Concord West Toastmasters have been very fortunate to have experienced steady growth in numbers during the Covid19 Lockdown. 
A decision was made to conduct a weekly meeting in order to sustain current Members by meeting together by ZOOM which commenced from the first week of the imposed restrictions.
Our current venue is too 'cosy' to accomodate us and follow the guidelines. 
So we were fortunate to have an experienced Member (Peter Crosby) with access to a Zoom Account that we have since helped to subsidise and take up from week one.
By the end of May we have had 9 Meetings and have had over 20 speeches presented by members. Thats almost the equivalent of 6 months of meetings.
But even more impressive has been our Membership growth.
We have had new Members join who – as yet – have not experienced an actual F2F Toastmaster meeting.
However, meeting 'virtually' has meant we have not been in a position to formally acknowledge their new Membership other than the President displaying their Induction Certificate over the ether.
We will be catching up on those acknowledgements once we are back together.
